Dynamic Online Measurement
of Water in Oil in Marine Applications
 |
 |
Quick deliveries and
a worldwide network enable retroffiting in major ports. Ship owners,
ship management and quality control personnel can now benefit from
the EASZ-1 water in oil monitor which has been installed in new
vessels and retrofitted to existing vessels worldwide as an answer
to online monitoring of water content in oil in high speed purifiers
and the like.
|
 |
 |
 |
Working alongside ship
owners who have invested considerable sums of money in high speed
separators/purifiers for oil treatment , the product has been designed
for harsh environments. Complying fully to CE requirements and designed
for higher temperatures, the newest water in oil sensors are now
available in all 316 stainless and electronics are protected by
and IP66 dual seal PCB enclosures.
The EASZ-1 will accurately and dynamically measure any amount of
water in oil in a marine oil separator (otherwise called high speed
purifier or basket type oil centrifuge ) by instantaneous measurements
of the dielectric strength of the liquid passing through the full
bore sensor whether directly installed in the larger line or through
a bypass system .
|
 |
Basically the EASZ-1 ‘s advantages are the speed of measurement of
the water contamination. Any purifier based on a mechanical platform and
designed for lubricating and marine diesel oils benefits from the real-time
reporting to the operators in the control room of the condition on the oil,
whether the separator is removing fuel or lubrication oil .
 |
The EASZ-1 combined with a dual
separator offering creates a fuller range of options for ship owners
and shipyards. By working together with suppliers of high speed
oil purifiers who are enabling purpose-specific separation with
the best technology available and real time reporting of water in
oil, there is confidence that high speed separation of water and
oil is occurring and that it is continually being monitored.
Basically the EASZ-1 was designed to work with any oil . Fuel oils
and lubricating oils are common applications but several marine
processes have required the installation of the water sensor in
fuel lines as a means of verifying the level of water contamination
in between spot sample take offs. |

In Singapore (currently known as one of the busiest ports in the world ,
if not the busiest ) and also ports in Korea, EESIFLO technicians have been
fully trained to either conduct fast retrofitting to existing high speed
marine purifier systems or to train service companies who may be involved
in manufacturing ,custom built equipment and sytems , marine repair and
maintenance ,trouble shooting ,complete equipment overhauls ,drum and bowl
balancing etc
Marine operators rely on service companies that can competently and
quickly perform tasks because of the short durations that a ship will
dock at a port. EESIFLO has committed itself to a 24 hour delivery service
of its standard version water in oil monitors in busy ports such as Singapore
. Stock and services are also available in other parts of the world. Details
of EESIFLO’s distribution network can be found by logging on to
