The EASZ-1 protects your equipment investment by alerting operators that a sudden or gradual change has occurred, namely water percentage increase in circulation lubrication systems of under water propulsion systems. It is lightweight, affordable and easy to install. The user can select what range to measure using same unit e.g 0-1% or 0-3% and loop powered design means that less wiring is needed. You only need a single pair for installation.
Ship propulsion systems benefit greatly by using a sealing system for oil-lubricated propeller shaft bearings. The sealing system prevents the ingress of water into the stern tube and vice versa, the seal also prevents the leakage of stern tube oil into the water or into the engine room. |
These sealing systems can be very costly because the are normally designed to withstand extreme conditions such as circumferential speeds up to 10 m/s, water pressure up to 3 bars, axial and radial shaft displacement, ship vibrations and operating times of periods of up to ten years.

The EASZ-1 replaces high cost optical systems and slow response water activity transmitters . There is no need for continual calibration and probe replacement as the sending elements of the EASZ-1 are stainless steel co-axis pipes. Most of all, the EASZ-1 is an affordable device that requires virtually no maintenance. The EASZ-1 water in oil sensor can be purchased pre-calibrated and onsite re-calibration can be performed by end users (if required) The sensor elements are stainless steel co-axis pipes and the EASZ-1 is an accurate and robust resistive capacitance meter measuring between two co-axis pipes. By applying a sinusoidal signal with a known amplitude and frequency to the inner pipe it is possible to measure the resistive capacitance of the liquid under test.
The EESIFLO EASZ-1 can in fact be used in any ship application where monitoring water contamination is important. Optional units can be purchased with RS-485 communication so that several EASZ-1's can be connected saving capital costs and installation time.
