 Defining Watts or Joules as the units of output for Heat Flow

The following steps define the units of output for the Heat Flow measurements as either Watts or Joules

  1. On the Main Menu select SF (Special Function) then press ENTER
  2. Using the 2 and 8 keys, scroll up or down until SYSTEM setting appears then press ENTER
  3. Using the 2 and 8 keys, scroll up or down until Measuring appears then press ENTER
  4. When Flow Velocity >NORMAL< uncorr. appears, press ENTER
  5. When Cut-off Flow >ABSOLUT< sign appears, press ENTER
  6. When Cut-off Flow >FACTORY< user appears, press ENTER
  7. When Velocity limit 25.0 m/s appears, press ENTER
  8. When Heat Quantity [J] > [Wh]< appears, use the 4 and 6 keys to switch between J (Joules) or Wh (Watts) then press ENTER
  9. When heat+flow quant. Off >ON< appears, press ENTER
  10. When Quant. wrapping >Off< on appears, press ENTER
  11. Press the BRK key once to return to the Main Menu
 Defining Heat Flow as the Output for Channel A
  1. From the Main Menu, using the 4 and 6 keys, scroll left or right until the OPT (Output) menu is selected then press ENTER.
  2. Press ENTER to select Channel A.
  3. On the Physic. Quant. screen, using the 2 and 8 keys, scroll up or down until Heatflow appears then press ENTER
  4. On the Heatflow in screen, using the 2 and 8 keys, scroll up or down and select either W (Watts), KW (Kilowatts), MW (Megawatts) then press ENTER
  5. When Damping 10 s appears, enter a value over which you'd like your data averaged, then press ENTER
  6. When Store Meas. Data >NO< yes appears press ENTER
  7. When Serial Output >NO< yes appears press ENTER
  8. When Current Loop I1:>NO< yes appears press b
  9. You will be returned to the Main Menu
 Installing the Temperature Sensors onto the Pipes

In the following steps we'll install the temperature sensors onto the Inlet and Outlet pipes:

  1. Following the directions found on page 11-3 of the EESIFLO 6000 Series Operating Instructions, locate an appropriate mounting spot for a Single PT100 Temperature Sensor on the OUTLET or DOWNSTREAM side of the Heat Exchanger
  2. Following the directions found on page 11-3 in the EESIFLO 6000 Series Operating Instructions, locate an appropriate mounting spot for a Single PT 100 Temperature Sensor on the INLET or UPSTREAM side of the Heat Exchanger
