The following step-by-step instructions
will guide you through successful installation of
the EESIFLO 6000 Series in the Heat Quantity Measurement
mode, where a single flow transducer and two PT100
Temperature Sensors are employed to monitor the efficiency
of HVAC and Chiller applications.
In cases where the temperatures of the inflow and/or
the outflow are known, or are constant, you may enter
these fixed temperatures manually. In this situation,
the temperature sensors need not be connected, but
the following instructions should still be followed,
ignoring steps detailing installation of the temperature
sensors.
For detailed instructions, please refer to the appropriate
pages of the EESIFLO 6000 Series Operating Instructions

| Locate
and Plug in the Sensors |
In the following steps we will locate and install a single
flow transducer and two temperature sensors.
- Locate the appropriate Transducer Pair (S2X,
Q3X or M2X), and two PT100 Temperature Sensors.
- Plug the appropriate Flow Transducer Pair into
the receptacle marked Channel A on the front of
the EESIFLO 6000 Series.
- Plug the WHITE wired INLET Temperature Sensor
into the receptacle marked T1 - Inlet on the rear
of the EESIFLO 6000 Series. Note this is a screw-in connector.
- Plug the Black wired OUTLET Temperature Sensor
into the receptacle marked T2 - Outlet on the rear
of theEESIFLO 6000 Series Note this is a screw-in connector.
- Turn the EESIFLO 6000 Series ON by pressing
the "On-C" button.
- TheEESIFLO 6000 Series will automatically detect which
Flow Transducer Pair is installed, and display that information
during boot-up.
| Setting
up the Flow Transducers |
In the following steps, we will define the pipe size, material,
thickness, roughness, medium type and temperature
- Using the 4 or 6 keys, scroll the menu to PAR
(parameters), then press ENTER.
- Press ENTER again to view Channel A Parameters
- Enter the Outer Pipe Diameter then press ENTER
- Enter Wall Thickness then press ENTER
- Using the 2 and 8 keys, scroll up or down through the
available list and enter Pipe Material.
- Answer YES or NO to the prompt for Lining
then press ENTER
- If NO Lining, jump to step 16
- Enter the Lining Type using the 2 and 8 keys
to scroll up and down through the available list.
- Enter the Lining Thickness
- Enter the internal Roughness of the pipe then
press ENTER
- Using the 2 and 8 keys to scroll up and down through
the available list, enter the Medium (Liquid Type).
- Enter Medium Temperature. Note this is only a
ROUGH estimate of the medium temperature.
- The menu screen will return to the main menu.
