Over the years our clients have given us “wish lists” of the type of device that would best suit them in the field. The Portalok 7s was built with the operator’s convenience in mind. First of all, the flow meter has to work on all types of liquid applications, it has to be easy to set up and it should be able to cover a wider range of pipes and applications. If you are a regular user of a clamp on flow meter, you will know what we are talking about.
Here is the wish list
- We would like the flowmeter work on clean and also dirty fluids with some aeration.
Yes, the Portalok 7s works on both clean and dirty fluids. It can also handle some aeration
- We would like more battery power
Yes, the Portalok 7s will work for 24 hours on a full battery
- We would like to have something that is not flimsy. Some of the handheld meters we have been using have cracked LCD screens
Yes, we know about this and the Portalok 7s electronics and its screen are fully protected when you close it’s cover
- Sometimes it rains when we are using the flow meter. We need to be able to protect it when this happens
Yes, the Portalok 7s is protected from “head to toe” from the sensors to the electronics. We have potted our sensors so that no amount of rain will ever damage them. We have also designed the Portalok 7s with IP68 connectors where the sensor cables plug into the electronics. We have also protected the electronics with the famous life time guarantee Pelican case. See what Pelican have to say about themselves http://www.pelican.com
- We would like to be able to store data and retrieve it at another time.
Yes, the Portalok 7s has a built in datalogger.
- We would like to have a 4-20mA out put option
Yes, the Portalok comes with an analog output as standard. If you wish to use this option, you only need purchase an analog output cable
- We don’t like messing around with difficult and time consuming accessories to install the sensors.
Yes, the Portalok 7s is sold as a kit. You just take it out of the box and start using it. The mounting fixtures are integral to the sensors .
- We would like you to provide a thickness meter to measure the pipe wall as an option but we would also like the thickness meter to be used elsewhere in our plant for non flow applications.
Yes, EESIFLO introduced a compact ultrasonic thickness gauge in 2007 called the TG-11. Which will work on most plastic and metal applications.
- The pipes in our factory range from 1 inch to 20 inches. We would like to use only one set of sensors
Yes, the Portalok 7s standard offer will work on most pipes from 1 to 40 inches. In the past, we offered to sets of sensors for this range but realized that some clients preferred 1 set only.
- We would like to try this meter before purchasing it.
Yes, the Portalok 7s is available as a rental item in most parts of the world. We encourage to try it first and make your own decisions.
- We would like a backlight so we can see what the flow rate is in the dark
Yes, the Portalok 7s has a backlight
Our clients never normally "ASK" us about the technology advances in our
flowmeters, they are normally interested in whether the product works or
not. EESIFLO is a company that is always involved in the advancement of
technology to make the product better in every way.
Most of of EESIFLO’s success in the the world has been from site demonstrations and site performance tests . We think that the end users should decide for themselves whether or not to purchase our products .
If you are interested in finding out more about the Portalok 7s or would like a demonstration please contact one of our representatives or log on to www.eesiflo.com
