water in marine oil sensor is a manufactured by EESIFLO International .For more information, contact your nearest EESIFLO dealer at http://www.eesiflo.com

The following pictures show an example of the EASZ-1 installation onboard vessels that use high speed purifiers/separators to remove water in marine oil. The installation is in the clean oil outlets. This is an advantage with both lubricating and residual oils, as it monitors separation performance in full flow. The device is unique in that it measures directly in the flowing stream as opposed to other methods which in contrast, measure only a bypass flow. The water-in-oil monitor provides added insurance that the oil is being properly cleaned

Since the has been designed to measure the amount of water in in lubricating and marine diesel oils, it complements the separator onboard since it monitors the effectiveness of the lubrication oil treatment in marine separation applications. Developed to meet even the toughest performance demands onboard, it is an economical and maintenance free device . The can be retrofitted to existing oil purifier systems or built into new vessels.

A stern tube Bearing should possess low coefficient of friction and inherent vibration-dampening qualities and be non-polluting. Ship propulsion systems benefit greatly by using a sealing system for oil-lubricated propeller shaft bearings. The sealing system prevents the ingress of water into the stern tube and vice versa, the seal also prevents the leakage of stern tube oil into the water or into the engine room. These sealing systems can be very costly because the are normally designed to withstand extreme conditions such as circumferential speeds up to 10 m/s, water pressure up to 3 bars, axial and radial shaft displacement, ship vibrations and operating times of periods of up to ten years. The presense of water coming in can indicate that there is a good chance that oil is escaping out and polluting the environment. The installation of an EASZ-1 water in oil monitor for stern tube bearing applications is something that a few European marine operators have taken into consideration because of their own commitment to reducing the possibility of oil contamination into the sea. Although there is currently no legislation to monitor in this way, it is a known fact that oil pollutants regularly make their way into the sea environment through leaking stern tubes. The EASZ-1 will help operators to schedule maintenance of the stern tube, not only for functional reasons but for environmental ones.

Hydraulic oil systems onboard ships and submarines are plagued by seawater intrusion. This water contamination can get into critical hydraulic systems. The seawater intrusion leads to premature component failures and accelerated system wear. As seawater and lubricating fluid mix, the oil/water mixture emulsifies and water droplets divide, becoming suspended in the oil. Seawater interaction with the warm hydraulic system also allows bacteria and fungi to grow. The result is degraded fluid lubricating and cooling properties, leading to component corrosion and wear which is exacerbated by seawater salt content. The EASZ-1 can be fitted into virtually any hydraulic system and will continually report the water level in the oil. This information is useful to marine operators who wish to control the level of contamination to within acceptable limits. Coupled with a remote display/alarm, the EASZ-1 can be used to not only monitor but to control the start/stop of water removal systems.

Water is the number-one problem found in diesel fuel and can cause potentially serious problems to your fuel system, including microbial growths, rust or enhanced corrosion, a reduction in the lubrication properties of the fuel, mechanical parts deterioration and in extreme applications, icing. Diesel fuel systems accumulate water during normal operations. Thermal variations within fuel tanks can produce water in the form of condensation. Water can also be introduced into a fuel system from fuel suppliers that do not periodically check their fuel-handling equipment for water contamination. The EASZ-1 water in oil monitor is a compliment to new or existing diesel purification systems. It ensures that water levels are being monitored at all times during the day/night. Downtime and high operating/maintenance costs resulting from water in diesel and turbine fuel have plagued industry for years. Although the EASZ-1 does not remove water from diesel but only senses its presence , the operators have a better chance of figuring out how to control water contamination.
