EESIFLO DACS SYSTEMS - Installs with existing Mitsubishi/Alfa Laval and other well known brands of Oil water separators for control /dealy of desludge cycle alarms to ship control room.
An optional contol panel called the DACS has been designed to work with 2 oil purifiers simultaneously onboard marine vessels . The DACS is used in combination with a pair of EASZ-1 online water in oil monitors.
The great benefits of a faster response time water in oil monitor mean that owners of Diesel Generator Lube Oil Purifiers can detect a problem with small or large amounts of water contamination at the oil centrifuge outlet . However, the immediate response time also means that the detectors are going to pick up any water at any time. Typically a problem encountered (alarm triggering during startup sequence and purifier desludge cycle) can be resolved confidently using the EESIFLO DACS system . The dual channel system works in combination with the EASZ-1 standard water in oil monitor display for the monitoring and alarm delay/control of 2 points which could be completely different purifier applications e.g Diesel Generator and Main Engine, hydraulics, other lubrication systems and fuel. On previous installations, EESIFLO would implement the use of programmable logic controllers. The DACS system is a much more robust and simpler approach to the application. Basically, the system takes inputs from the contact closure that triggers the desludge cycle on an oil purifier. During the desludge cycle, the outlet line of the purifier gets contaminated with varying amounts of water due to the dynamics of the water purging . If an EASZ-1 water in oil monitor has been set to alarm at 1500 ppm in normal operating conditions, the desludge cycle water contamination far exceeds this amount which will cause an alarm trigger through the standard EASZ-1 display panel. The DACS manual alarm delay controllers enable operators to intervene and set delay times by rotating the delay knobs . This allows greater freedom for the operators who can adjust the delay settings without having to spend enormous amounts of time configuring programmable logic controllers. The simple design of the DACS system also allows operators to conduct their own repairs in the future i.e. replacement of simple analog and relay components . The design of the cabinet and the its fan/ventilation system also make sure that it will work in hotter environments that are common in ship engine rooms.
