EESIFLO's 8000 series is a flow meter
that will HANDLE PROBLEM FLUIDS that damage other
meters. The 8000 series (Proportional Velocity)
will not be dmaged by small amounts of sand, grit,
stones or contaminants and suspensions that could
stop and damage other meters. There are no close
clearances, no rotating seals, and no stuffing boxes.
The EESIFLO 8000 series clamps onto an existing
pipe. Nothing ever enters the process and there
are NO MOVING PARTS .The design allows for testing/evaluation
on site prior to purchase since the meter can be
installed and removed from the flow measurement
line within minutes and without disrupting your
process
How the meter works?
EESIFLO's 8000 series flowmeter uses
inaudible sound in the ultrasonic range. Two ultrasonic
sensors send signals backwards and forwards from
each other. As long as there is no too much blocking
the way and the signal's transit time is calculated
at different flow rates and reported as volumetric
flow

The transmitter is housed in a stainless steel
or aluminium coated flame proof enclosure remote
from the sensors and connected by signal cable.
Lower cost versions comprise of standard transmitters
located in a safe area with explosion proof sensors
in the hazardous area. Virtually any pipe size from
1 inch upwards can be monitored for flow volume
and total with disrupting a process.
Advantages of the 8000 series flowmeter
Particles in the line, dirt , sand or grit do
not damage the sensing elements as they are not
in touch with the process media
The sensors and transmitters can handle some aeration
in the line and suspended solids but if the application
has short series of air pockets, the last value
can be held until a feasible liquid state returns
(contact EESIFLO for more application info)
The 8000 series has a long Life in Contaminated
Liquids. You will not need to repair or replace
the meter . The electronics are digital based and
are stable for many years.
Meausurement is not affected by density or viscosity.
As long as these values do not change drastically
over time, an accuracy of 1 to 3 percent can be
expected.
The EESIFLO 8000 series has a very low and very
high range for the flow velocity limits. The meter
cannot be damaged by higher flows since there are
no sensing elements in contact with the process
media.
Standard outputs such as pulse/binary and analog
can be used to send vital information to distributive
control systems, PLC's and Scada.
Readout Flexiblilty
These devices can also be used where no electrical
power is available. 12 VDC versions can be run on
battery packs for extended periods of time and data
can be logged in the meter or externally for future
review.
Electrical / Electronic Readouts
EESIFLO can work readily with integrators and
vendots equipping the meters with up-to-date readout
devices to mate with almost any telemetry equipment
or communication device.
Re- Calibration
EESIFLO's meters come factor calibrated. There
is no need for re-calibration since there are no
moving parts, no wear and tear. Meters can be taken
offline and referenced against online provers if
necessary without the need to send the device back
for factory calibration. The 8000 series can also
be transported from site to site depending on the
requirement. There is no fixed size of pipe for
the flowmeter and EESIFLO 8000 series flow meters
work within large pipe ranges
Accuracy
The EESIFLO 8000 series exhibits 0.5% of reading
with onsite calibration and a nominal out of box
accuracy of 1 to 3 percent. It's turndown ratio
is greater than 200:1
Pipe Size ranges
Standard sensors 100mm to 2500mm with smaller sizes
available on request.
Pressure Ranges:
There is no limit to the meter's pressure range
since it is not part of the process.
Special applications:
The 8000 series can be set up to perform flow calculations
using more than one sensing transducer set. Inflows
and Outflows can be calculated and reported by the
instrument. Other calculations can be performed
(contact EESIFLO)
Application and Selection Criteria
Viscosity:
The EESIFLO 8000 series Meter may be used with
fluids irregardless of their viscosity although
a fixed viscosity allows the meter to perform accurate
calculations The Reynolds numbers are calculated
using fixed data to ascertain flow profile condition
and hence internal K factors which determine whether
flow is in a laminar or turbulent condition
Installation requirements
The EESIFLO 8000 series meters work best on reasonable
straight lengths of pipe. Best practices are to
have 10 upstream and at least 5 downstream pipe
lengths. The meter cannot be overranged.
