CTT SPOOL PIECE FLOW METER

A common problem with
mechanical meters is that frictional forces, wear and tear will very
quickly require them to be replaced or recalibrated frequently. The
fact that a mechanical method is used also means that frictional forces
will require calibration as the output will be non-linear. A different
problem exists with many other types of flow meters which are in contact
with the process liquid. Over time, one can expect sensor fouling
if the liquid contains certain contaminents which can build up on
the sensor surfaces. A typical example can be factory water in pipes
with contaminents that need to be treated or corrosive fluids which
do not like non plastic materials. The Sonalok CTT spool piece flow
meter is currently being produced in sizes 1 inch to 4 inch and only
requires you to power up the unit, once it has been configured in
the factory. The non-invasive design coupled with a selection of standard
spool piece materials such as PVC, UPVC, HDPE and Kynar can be shipped
and ready to measure flow rates in liquids without the need for excessive
parameter programming.

The CTT Flow tube was
designed for measurement of small flow rates or repeatable measurements
in smaller tubes or pipes with contamination or corrosion problems.
Similar to the Sonalok CTT Spool piece meter. It is a non contact
device but designed with longer flight path transmission so that
increased resolution and linearity is possible even in the lowest
mL/min ranges. The Sonalok CTT flow tube is currently being produced
in ½ inch or 10mm sizes and again only requires you to power
up the unit, once it has been configured in the factory. The non-invasive
design coupled with a selection of standard tube materials such
as PVC, UPVC, HDPE and Kynar can be shipped and ready to measure
flow rates in water based liquids which either contain corrosive
elements or applications where accuracy and resolution on low flow
is more important.
