The group started off in 1984 with founder Dave Hughes , a qualified metallurgist who founded Eastern Energy Services Pte Ltd. For almost two decades the company dedicated itself to the pursuit of solutions to the oil industry in the area of crude oil sampling and conditioning.

In 2007, the original owners of the company are still active and the company now operates three premises in Singapore which include a dedicated factory space, stock inventory premises and an international sales office The manufacturing and sales system of the company is audited by SGS and has operates under ISO 9001:2000 . The main activities are now the research, development and production of instruments using its own patented concurrent transit time technology and the production and development of instruments measuring the dielectric properties of liquids.
