Water Content in Oil, EASZ-1 enhances currently
used oil recovery techniques by assessing the percentage
volume of water content, on a real-time basis, in
almost all types of oil production. It provides
data on pipeline draw-down along the water table
and oil/gas horizon, improving revenue in secondary
recovery wells and maximizing oil production from
wells previously deemed sub-economic. Applications
in test separators and in truck-transfer are also
relevant applications.
The EASZ-1 BS &W monitor also optimizes enhanced
recovery techniques in heavy oil, thus fulfilling
a long-standing need in the North American oil industry.
The base-line technology used in the EASZ-1 BS &W
has been adapted from EESIFLO's proprietary capacitance
cell moisture monitoring instruments, capacitance
probes are internationally accepted as the benchmark
for moisture monitoring in many oil well applications.
The Sensors cell measure the change in capacitance
in the oil/water medium. The change in capacitance
is related to the amount of water content in the
mixture. Applications where water cuts are up to
25% can be monitored accurately.
Measuring Water Content in Oil is of significant
interest and benefit to producers. The EASZ-1 BS
&W monitor will provide a revolutionary improvement
in oil production economics and offer the following
capabilities: Cost-effective, permanent installation
on each well removing the need for more costly test
separator or test treater capital equipment currently
used in new oil fields and traditionally moved from
well to well Reduction in operational costs of obtaining
water cut information by replacing manual bottle
sampling and centrifuge analysis with automated
measurement, analysis and reporting Real-time, water
cut information will serve as a critical input for
the real-time control of a well and optimized reservoir
production Flow data obtained using EESIFLO clamp
on flowmeters will allow field engineers to optimize
pumping rates, and minimize wear and expensive pump
maintenance Real-time water cut information can
provide early warning indications of problems on
a well, thus minimizing service costs and production
down time .
EESIFLO is continually inviting clients to evaluate
the performance of the Measuring Water Content in
Oil in a number of other applications. These applications
all have major commercial potential, and include
measuring the oil/water mix at truck transfer stations
and in oil treatment facilities. Measuring Water
